Mr. Ashwini Mehra is a post-graduate in Economics from the Delhi School of Economics and holds the certification of CAIIB. He is also a certified Insolvency Professional registered with the Insolvency & Bankruptcy Board of India. He carries with him over 37 years of banking experience in SBI with rich exposure in wholesale, retail, and international banking in various offices, including Corporate Centre, in India and in NY, USA. He has had a stint on deputation as the Regional Head (North) of SBI Capital Markets Ltd at New Delhi. The last assignment in the Bank was as Dy.MD & Corporate Development Officer wherein he was instrumental in bringing about a complete transformation in the HR policies in the Bank, particularly in the area of performance monitoring, appraisals, and promotions. Post retirement, apart from working as an Insolvency Professional, he has been associated as an Independent Director in a Steel sector Navratna, Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Ltd., Vizag and also works on contract assignments in financial restructuring with a major international financial advisory firm, headquartered out of NY.
